About me…

Hello my friend,

I won't bore you with a long bio and list of achievements, this is simply a window into the person that shows up each day, to support you in Practice and life.

I am an imperfect human navigating this life to the best of my ability. I have a name, a body, I was born in Africa, I speak English, I am a woman, I am a free BEing.

I am the sum of all the things I have experienced thus far, but I am not just these labels or my past, 'the story' or identity and have a choice in how I show up for myself and others.

My opinions, beliefs, actions, abilities, perceptions, responses, health and wellbeing are all collections, coping mechanisms of how I have responded to messages from the nervous system and cues from other humans to function, to feel included, loved, valued, safe and engaged with myself and the world around me.

Through my past careers and work experience, study, self-reflection and teaching, I have developed the skills to inner-stand others deeply too.

Much of what we carry around with us, who we perceive/project ourselves to 'be', is not really who we 'are'... we project our past into the present and future, bracing for impact, planting seeds of blame, doubt, fear, failure before allowing each situation, person, feeling to simply show us what is actually just there, in the now, to trust.

I have spent the last 10 years deep in Practice, digging through layers, sitting with discomfort, adjusting, finetuning, softening and accepting light and shadows.

I have no desire to be perfect, to help you 'heal', this is your decision, your work to adopt, or not.

I have chosen to take it on, to follow my dharma, to continue to share, develop, and live joyously, alongside you as we all deserve.

I don't have it all figured out, I don't have all the answers (and don't believe there is only 1 way either), I am not a fixer, nor do I offer magic pills.

But what I can and do offer, as a teacher of both movement and stillness practices, is this... I've researched, tried, embodied and practiced the things that I share. I am not here to tell you what's right or wrong for you, that's for you to decide, to discern.

I present tools, some directions and ideas, to help you think for yourself, so that self-awareness opens to the possibility of growth and learning. Slowly brushing away resistance, from the inside out, becoming attuned to specifics, to experience the 'whole' in a playful way.

Take what is useful and leave the rest. There is no final goal to race towards, the journey IS it. Things will always change, and your best skill in this life is to be adaptable.

Be open, be kind, be truthful. Unravel the knots and walls you have built in your mind-body so you may uncover the source of your true nature and continue to live from that place. To feel the sun on your face, the breath in your body, and love in your heart.

I see you

Kirst xx
